Anders Lasater Architects, Inc. seeks a Junior Architect & Project Manager for its Laguna Beach, CA office. Duties include. Serve as the day-to-day face of ALA to clients, building strong and lasting relationships; Prepare and deliver compelling client presentations to effectively communicate design concepts and project progress; Maintain consistent and clear communication with clients, addressing inquiries and providing proactive updates; Provide comprehensive monthly project updates to clients, outlining progress, budget status, and upcoming milestones. Develop an outline of the project strategy and timeline; Engage, hire, and effectively coordinate with external consultants (e.g., structural engineers, landscape architects) as required for each project; Delegate tasks effectively to internal Team Members and oversee their progress to ensure project goals are met. Contribute to the development of project budgets; Provide monthly budget goals and progress billing updates to firm Executives; Work collaboratively with Team Members to ensure adherence to project budget goals. Coordinate and attend meetings with local jurisdiction authorities to navigate the approval process. Prepare and participate in discretionary approval presentations; Maintain consistent follow-up with the builder during the construction phase to ensure design intent is realized. Take initiative to anticipate project needs and potential challenges; Proactively identify who needs what information and when, facilitating a smooth workflow for the entire team; Contribute to a positive and collaborative open studio environment.
