Job Description: Senior Designer – Production Residential Architecture

Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and talented Senior Designer to join our dynamic architectural team. The ideal candidate will bring 10-15 years of experience in Production Residential architectural design, with a strong emphasis on site planning, floorplans, elevations, and various stages of design, including Conceptual Design and Schematic Design. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of our projects in the Home Builder sector, creating innovative and cost-effective solutions while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the design and development of production residential projects, ensuring functionality, aesthetics, and cost-efficiency.
• Develop and refine site plans, floorplans, elevations, and other design elements to meet client and project requirements.
• Collaborate with clients, consultants, and internal teams during all project phases, including conceptual and schematic design stages
• Analyze project constraints and opportunities to propose innovative, cost-effective design solutions.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior designers and contribute to team growth and development.
• Utilize tools such as AutoCAD and SketchUp to create and present high-quality design materials. Hand drawing a plus.
• Stay informed about trends, materials, and technologies within the home builder industry to continuously enhance project outcomes.
• Work closely with Principals, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure designs align with project schedules, budgets, and goals.

Qualifications:

• 10-15 years’ experience in Production Residential architectural design, including extensive work in site planning, floorplans, and elevations.
• Strong proficiency in conceptual, schematic, and design development processes.
• Deep understanding of the Home Builder sector, with a proven ability to deliver cost-effective design solutions that align with industry practices.
• Excellent skills in AutoCAD and SketchUp
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively work as part of a team and contribute across various disciplines.
• Detail-oriented, with exceptional problem-solving abilities and a commitment to design excellence.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of construction processes and materials specific to residential development.

• Experience working on large-scale residential developments and/or high-density housing projects.
