Candidates should be creative, motivated and ready to contribute. The successful candidate will have proven ability to work on and lead multiple projects, be able use independent judgment in creating design solutions and technical documentation. Candidates should be proficient in current drafting and rendering computer programs such as but not limited to: Revit, AutoCAD, Mini-MicroStation, Rhinoceros 5.0, Grass Hopper, V-Ray, Bluebeam, Procore, Microsoft Office Suite. Candidates must be highly motivated to work with and lead individuals and small team groups to meet timely deadlines. The ideal candidate will act as a "hands-on" Mentor to entry-level staff, while assisting more senior staff in producing comprehensive Construction Documents.
Role Responsibilities: • Creates contract documents (CDs) • Reviews CDs to ensure compliance with firm standards, mechanical, building systems, codes and ADA requirements • Coordinates with Senior technical staff and design staff to provide technical solutions for design dilemmas • Coordinates engineering consultant’s work to ensure compliance with design solution and timely submission of documents • In unusual circumstances may be required to assist with support for field surveys • Ensures adherence to set budget and immediately informs associates, senior associates, and/or client of any potential variance to the budget • May mentor the work of junior staff • Oversee tasks and provide feedback on work product
The position is Senior Level, 5 to 10 years of experience. The position requires experience in the development of design and construction documents from conceptual design through project delivery. Applicants should be able to produce complete Construction Documents coordinating multiple disciplines, including Structural Engineers, MEP Engineers, and other consultants as required. Candidates must be able to work independently with professional time management and leadership skills.
Experience: Must possess a professional advanced degree in Architecture, either a Bachelor’s of Architects (5-year degree) or a Bachelor’s of Science in Architecture (4-year degree) Minimum 5 to 10 years Experience in Skyscraper and High-Rise Mixed-Use projects is required.
