The School of Architecture at Florida Southern College invites applications for a nine-month, tenure-track-eligible Assistant Professor of Architecture position to teach in the School’s new five-year Bachelor of Architecture degree program beginning fall 2025. Florida Southern College is home to the most extensive single-client collection of Frank Lloyd Wright-designed structures and landscapes worldwide. It provides an inspiring and fitting backdrop for the education of future architects.
Our Ideal Candidate Qualifications include:
Terminal degree in architecture (MArch) or DArch/PhD from a regionally accredited (or comparable) institution
The ability to develop and implement new courses
Professional U.S. architectural licensure or NCARB Foreign Architect Path to Certificate
Three years of professional practice in architecture
Three years of successful teaching experience at the university or college level
Scholarship and creative accomplishments in the field of design
The ability to teach advanced design studio, lecture, and seminar courses
Excellent interpersonal, teamwork, written, graphic, and oral communication skills
Skills and experience in the use of digital tools in architectural design and construction
Integration of artificial intelligence in design applications
