An Architectural Project Architect 3 with 1 to 5 years of experience is a skilled professional who has gained knowledge and expertise in the field of architecture and has attained licensure.
This level of PA may work on projects of varying sizes. The projects may range from simple to complex, and a variety of construction types and occupancies. A Project Architect 3 may work on a medium to large size team under the oversight of a PA 1 or PA 2 and assist in the coordination of the work effort with the consultant team. The Project Architect 3 may also be capable of working on a project, depending on size, without additional team members, completing all tasks, working along with the PM or capable of being both the PA and PM on a project, while receiving mentorship from a PA1 or PA2. This PA should have a reasonable understanding of codes, the ability to detail projects, taking the project through plan check and permitting as well as the Construction Administration process under the oversight of a PA1 or PA2.
Qualities:
Architectural Competence: Project Architects 3 should possess a foundation in construction techniques. They should have a reasonable understanding of building systems, materials, and technologies, and be able to apply this knowledge to their projects.
Technical Aptitude: Project Architects 3 should have a reasonable grasp of technical aspects related to architecture. They should be reasonably knowledgeable about building codes, regulations, and flow of documentation from schematic design to construction documents. They should also be familiar with various software tools used for architectural documentation.
Communication and Collaboration: Effective communication and collaboration skills are essential for Project Architects 3. They should be able to communicate their ideas clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing. They should also be skilled at collaborating with project teams, clients, and consultants.
Problem-Solving Abilities: Project Architects 3 should be adept at problem-solving and critical thinking. They should have the ability to analyze issues, identify potential challenges, and propose practical solutions. They should also possess a proactive and resourceful approach to addressing project-related problems.
Time Management and Organization: Project Architects 3 should be able to manage their time effectively and prioritize tasks to meet project deadlines. They should possess strong organizational skills and be detail-oriented in managing project documentation, deliverables, and schedules.
