We are starting a new architecture firm to work with a recurring client in multi-state commercial work. This is a rare opportunity to be help shape the structure and culture of a new design firm. We are looking for a registered architect with a NCARB certificate and at least five years’ experience in commercial construction. Must be a team leader with organizational and communication skills, willing to take on additional leadership roles.
The existing backlog of work is self-storage projects. Once the office is well established, we expect the person hired to help market the firm to new clients and purse different building types. Will be responsible for organizing office work based on priorities and size of project. Must be able to listen to client needs and communicate realistic timelines for design and production of documents. Occasional attendance at zoning or government meetings may be required. Must be able to collaborate with team members on architectural style and budgets.
Responsibilities and Duties
Manage the workflow on a daily basis including quality control/quality assurance.
Assign projects and specific tasks to team members.
Pursue new clients.
Assist civil engineers and zoning consultants with architectural guideline requirements.
Attend zoning and municipal meetings as required.
Qualifications
Bachelor of Architecture
NCARB certificate
Minimum five years’ experience in commercial/metal stud construction.
