Objectives of this Role
Primary responsibilities are to provide effective and creative schematic designs to meet project goals and budgets while working with other team members and clients.
Responsibilities
Create and manage project timelines/schedules to meet client expectations
Ensure completeness and accuracy of drawings and specifications
Apply knowledge of design, construction procedures, zoning and building codes and building materials
Analyze project programming information to create preliminary designs of floor plans, site plans, and elevations
Work within defined schedule and budget parameters
Generate and illustrate creative, innovative and workable design solutions
Complete space planning and adjacency analyses
Determine functional and spatial requirements of new structures or renovations
Work with team to complete construction permit drawings
Coordinate with multiple disciplines to integrate engineering elements into unified designs
Resolve project design conflicts as needed
Ensure compliance with the company’s quality assurance policies and project delivery procedures
Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Follow company policies and design standards
Stay abreast with knowledge of competition, commercial design trends, and construction methods
Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture
Registered Architect is preferred but not required. Minimum of 10 years of experience
Working knowledge of Revit and SketchUp
Knowledge of financial institution design and construction is a bonus
Willingness to travel to job sites in various states with overnight stays required; travel is not reoccurring but could be as much as once a month
Current knowledge of industry trends, technology, codes and regulations
Clear written and verbal communication skills
Experience in all stages of project delivery: Concept, Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Documentation, and Construction Administration
