RS&H is currently seeking a National Sustainability and Resilience Leader for our Buildings Business Unit.

As a key member of the Buildings Strategy team, the National Sustainability and Resilience Leader develops strategies to integrate environmental sustainability and resilience principles across enterprise-wide Buildings activities. A broad understanding of the social, environmental, and economic aspects of sustainability and resilience is vital. This position involves close collaboration with architectural, engineering, and construction professionals as well as interaction with sustainability and resilience experts outside the company. The National Sustainability and Resilience Leader works directly with senior leadership in each of the company's Buildings disciplines to develop and execute an integrated approach to sustainability and resilience for our Buildings markets. Furthermore, the National Sustainability and Resilience Leader works closely with company marketing and communications professionals as the public representative for the company’s sustainability and resilience efforts.
Achieve measurable Buildings project wins to contribute to company growth and revenue goals by:
Developing sustainability and resilience marketing content to support business-development objectives
Providing detailed and well-reasoned solutions that address the specific sustainability and resilience needs in Buildings proposals and project deliverables.
Taking part on pursuit and project teams as the subject-matter expert for Buildings-related sustainability and resilience topics.
Develop and implement best practices of Buildings sustainability and resilience to produce measurable improvements in company operations by:
Serving as the internal leader and expert for Buildings sustainability and resilience, monitoring emerging trends, programs and issues, and communicating and educating others on sustainability topics.
Working with other company stakeholders to develop and implement sustainable building policies.
Continually assessing and improving sustainability and resilience practices to ensure they are effective and efficient.
Establish the company’s reputation and leadership in sustainability and resilience within the buildings industry by:
Participating in professional/community organizations and activities. Attend and present at workshops and conferences and deliver presentations to clients and professional organizations.
Overseeing the company’s AIA 2030 commitment goals and reporting.
Assisting the company with national buildings-industry sustainability endeavors.
Working with in-house communications team to create high-quality content that is informative and engaging. This may include blog posts, articles, videos, or podcasts.
Actively engaging on social media and other communications channels to build trust and credibility of the company.
Bachelor and/or Masters degree in Engineering or Architecture from an accredited university.
Must be a registered Architect or Professional Engineer in good standing and able to obtain reciprocity
LEED Accreditation preferred
Minimum of 20+ years of experience
