SDC is searching for an Architectural Design Intern I & II

** Flexible work schedule, including some remote access **

Job Duties include:

• Accurately generate conceptual/schematic design documents under the supervision of designer
• Work with the design team to develop design ideas for unit plans, building plans, site plans, and building elevations
• Modify/revise drawings as required (red lines)
• Provide check set for Project Designer to review
• Must demonstrate the basic understanding of code research as it relates to the project
• Perform accessibility review prior to Schematic Design completion of the job
• Ensure project task list is updated on completion of work assigned in conjunction with Project Team
• Attend in-house project team meetings
• May perform other duties as required

Required Education & Experience

• 0 – 3 years experience in a planning capacity
• Bachelor or Master degree in Architecture
• Experience in REVIT, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop
• Familiarity with space planning methodology
• Intermediate sketching and rendering skills
• Familiarity with building systems, codes, and ADA requirements
• Well-organized, detail-oriented, and highly motivated
