Smith & Company Architects is a small firm with big firm capabilities headquartered in Stafford, Texas. Our firm’s in-house team of planners, architects, interior designers, and construction managers serve clients in the K12, Higher Education, Multi Family, Aviation, and Transportation sectors.

We are looking for an ambitious design professional to join our growing team! This exciting position offers excellent professional growth opportunities and requires a dynamic and personable candidate with excellent communication and inter-personal skills, and a minimum of 4 years of solid industry design experience. The ideal candidates will have the ability to execute all phases of the design cycle, from schematic design to construction documents (Revit), and construction administration.

To be considered for this position, the ideal candidate should possess the following experience, skills and abilities:

• A minimum of 1-2 years of detailed design experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture. Candidate should be actively pursuing licensure.
• Ability to work well in a team environment and be able to juggle and prioritize multiple projects and adjust work accordingly, often against tight deadlines.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to interact with senior management, external client organizations, vendors and construction managers.
• Must be quality minded, self-motivated and dedicated to customer service.
• Proficiency in the basic technical skills of design including the following computer skills: Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook; Proficiency in Revit; and Knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketchup, and InDesign graphic software.
