A day in the life of a healthcare project architect.
Provide overall project design and development process to ensure that construction documents conform with A&E Design's agreement with the client
Provide technical expertise to generate documents for healthcare and/or life science projects ranging in size and scope
Work with partners and project managers on all project efforts, both administrative and technical, to ensure the most efficient and cost-effective execution of assigned projects
Provider clear team leadership and mentorship. Oversee and provide regular, timely direction to project team members, with additional attention given to those with the least experience and/or expertise
Ensures quality control on all deliverables
May estimate fees, determine scope of work, and prepares proposals and contracts for partner or associate partner review
Serve as the primary consultant liaison and a secondary client liaison to complete projects on schedule, within budget, and with maximum client satisfaction
Understands the fundamental relationships and contractual obligations between the Architect, Consultants, Owner and Contractor
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary design team to understand needs of A&E Design’s diverse client base and determine innovative, successful environmental graphic solutions
Support the design director and collaborate with a team of designers, architects and fabricators

Your skill set.
Master’s Degree in Architecture
Architectural licensure (preferred)
Ideal candidate has 7 years of experience working in an Architecture firm or in healthcare architecture
A focus or specialty in healthcare design, with preference to candidates with a healthcare-specific college degree
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, and Newforma
Space planning, architectural design and construction documents acumen
Working understanding of design constructability as well as a solid understanding of healthcare architecture
Strong leadership and organizational skills, including the ability to effectively manage multiple simultaneous projects
Ability to prepare and deliver presentation materials
Ability to communicate within a creative team environment
Complex problem-solving and critical thinking abilities are essential
