For over 35 years, the team at Alan Madewell and Associates has specialized in high-end residential architecture and interior design from our studio in Tulsa Oklahoma. Our projects span across the U.S. with robust budgets ranging anywhere from $3 million to over $18 million dollars, and in a variety of exciting Architectural styles. We occasionally design commercial projects, but the vast majority of our work—and our real passion—is highly detailed residential architecture with the unique challenges creating one of a kind architecture presents. We're not talking about those typical, run of the mill, tired houses: we're creating some amazing work. Join our team of dedicated creative designers where you can be a big part of the full experience.
If you are a licensed Architect or professional on the path to a license and this job posting resonates with you, we want to talk with you. We are seeking an energetic team player to join our group of designers and grow into managing all aspects of a given projects from beginning to end.
- Work with the principal on preliminary design to deliver sketches, renderings, and preliminary plans to the Client
- Translate preliminary plans and elevations into working drawings through design development
- Coordinate with consultants (structural engineers, landscape architects, etc.) to cover all aspects of a project down to the smallest detail
- Manage project material selections and specifications
- Complete construction document sets that are clear and concise for permitting and pricing
- Work with contractors hands-on, at-site, to answer questions and provide additional details and see your design come to life
- Design cabinetry and trim work throughout the project
- Organize project documents and be the point of contact on the project
- Work hard but laugh and enjoy what you are doing with a team of people that are creative and passionate about their designs.
While expertise across the full scope of these tasks is not expected on your first day at the office, working with us will develop these skills daily as you grow into an expanded role. Check out our website, MadewellArchitects.com for photos and sketches of our previous work. It isn't the full portfolio but a quick review of the type of designs you can be a part of creating.
If you’ve made it this far, your next step is clear: send a cover letter, resume, references, and work samples to Alan@madewellarchitects.com.
