Seeking an architectural designer/illustrator to assist in a wide array of graphic-intensive, illustrative project goals—spanning from project proposals, interviews, and marketing efforts to project-specific illustrations.   Must possess the creativity and expertise to present the essence of our firm’s skills, accomplishments, and capabilities through thoughtful, compelling drawings, illustrations, and writing. Will work closely with colleagues and a seasoned team of professionals to pursue new project opportunities and design solutions.

Mitchell / Matthews Architects & Planners is a dynamic Charlottesville-based design office.  Our work encompasses a range of project types and sizes, with budgets regularly in the $20 - $90MM range.  We work with both public (colleges and universities) and private clients. We take a studied approach to each project that graces our desks, striving for optimal solutions to each challenge. We are looking for team members eager to share in our dedication to our work.

Minimum Qualifications:

-  Minimum 2 - 4 years professional experience in an architectural office.

-  Bachelor of Science in Architecture degree, Bachelor of Architecture degree, or Master of Architecture, from an accredited college or university.

-  Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Indesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Acrobat; BIM modeling / CAD software (Archicad by Graphisoft, preferred.); Sketchup or other rendering software.
