Berglund Architects a 15 person, well established 17-year-old, high-end residential focused architectural firm in Edwards Colorado is seeking a Project Architect/ Project Manager with approximately 7-15 years of work experience. Applicants should have excellent graphic, written and verbal communication skills; thorough understanding of Revit software; be self-motivated; be a team player; and enjoy working with others in a highly collaborative work environment.
Solid Revit competency is required. Strong design abilities is desired, but not required depending on other skills. Applicants must have project management/ team leader experience, extensive knowledge of construction drawings, significant construction observation experience, and ability to mentor, teach and lead architectural interns/designers.
The firm’s studio is in Edwards, which is 12 miles west of Vail, CO, and about 2 miles west of the Arrowhead Village ski lift, which is part of the Beaver Creek Ski Resort. The Vail Valley has abundant opportunities for an active outdoor lifestyle of hiking, biking, skiing/snowboarding, golf, fishing and camping as well as a great cultural and ongoing educational opportunities.

Berglund Architects specializes in designing highly sustainable cleanly detailed luxury Mountain Modern homes throughout Colorado, as well as modern contextual residential and commercial projects throughout the US and some international projects. Berglund Architects has designed several LEED and net zero energy residential and commercial projects, including two LEED Platinum projects, one of which is Net Zero. The firm also provides full interior design and master planning services.

Salary range would be in the $90,000 - $120,000 range depending on experience and design capabilities. Currently about a third of Berglund Architect’s employees are working remotely from home due to COVID-19 safety protocols. New Employee would have the option of either working in the office or at home until COVID-19 concerns end. Although working a minimum of two days a week in the office is desired for training and communication. Long term, a balance of working in the office and from home can be worked out based on employee’s independent working abilities and the project team requirement.
