We are an architecturally based envelope consulting firm, most of our staff has past experience with conventional architectural design project roles in addition to our experience with / specialization in exterior envelope consulting. While first and foremost concerned with providing appropriate direction regarding waterproofing and issues related to water intrusion, we are also mindful of decisions that are sensitive to the project design and aesthetics. About the Position
Experience providing services on multifamily residential projects is desirable.
The position requires a minimum of 5 years’ experience, proficiency preparing drawings in AutoCAD 2018, with an emphasis on detail development, working as part of a team under the direction of a project manager.
Primary Job Responsibilities include the below:
o AutoCad Drafting
o Coordination between Project Managers, with sometimes minor coordination between clients
o Provide accurate building envelope drawings for management that adheres to our office standards.
o Able to review construction documents for building envelope related items, adequate detailing ability, and technical skills.
o Ability to work on multiple projects with multiple projects managers during a short period of time.
o Communicate effectively with our Washington and California teams.
o Ability to use AutoCAD, BlueBeam, Word & Excel. Procore a plus.
Additional responsibilities may include:
o Ability to attend site visits & window testing and provide accurate details of the event.
o Some constructions administration including identifying mistakes on submittals from the client or contractor and advising ways to resolve the error. Always reporting to the respective Project Manager in this case to verify remarks are accurate and valid.
A degree in architecture or engineering is preferred as well as strong communication skills and the ability to use Microsoft Outlook and Word.
