The Project Architect is to provide technical architecture leadership to organize and coordinate projects by ensuring on-time completion, identifying variances, and taking corrective action so that each project meets or exceeds target margins.
-Completing schedule of drawings for project manager
-Coordinating with manufacturer's representative to gather information on project product for project manager approval
-Ensuring all drafting and production of working drawings are completed on schedule
-Collaborating with and providing back up to the project manager with respect to communication with clients and sub-consultants; gathering specification information for the senior project architect's use
-Assisting the project manager in developing the schematic design
-Converting schematic design drawings to working drawing for bidding & construction documents
-Checking all shop drawing for quality control and refer any and all issues to the project manager
-Writing specifications as assigned by the senior project manager
-Preparing and writing transmittals and documentation of project deliverables and forward to project manager
-Providing project related 3d models, renderings, graphics, and animation as required by the scope of the project
-Providing senior project architect with material and square foot offs
-Maintaining minimum knowledge of code and life safety as supervised by the senior project architect
-Assisting the project manager in the preparation of the opinion of probable construction cost for each phase of the project.
This may include extended times outside the office or in the field.
