Supervisor: Associate Principal This position will allow you the opportunity to work on a wide array of project types and assume diverse responsibilities. You will gain valuable experience working in a collaborative setting to develop your design sensibility and technical skills. You will work with other knowledgeable teammates and have the opportunity to work directly with principals and project managers throughout the project life-cycle. Duties and Responsibilities - Modify and update construction detailsas directed by others
- Check own work prior to review by others
- Understand and adhere to GMA’s graphic standards
- Coordinate specific details with sub consultants and subcontractors,with supervision
- Seek outdesign ideas that meet client project goals in addition to advancing the environmental, cultural, and social needs of the community
- Help implement the GMA construction administration process, with guidance and supervision
- Navigate and understand how construction documents are assembled
- Be aware of trends in the A/E/C industry
- Understand architectural specifications and the project manual
- Be an active listener and work collaboratively on project teams; foster a community design culture through commitment to design inside and outside the office
- Other duties as assigned
Education and Experience
- Requires a Bachelor's or Master’s degree from an accredited program
- 1-3 years of industry experience in an architect's office preferred
- Experience with Autodesk Revit and Autocad, Adobe Creative Suite, and MS Office Suite required
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Ability to communicate through verbal, written and graphic communication formats
- Ability to determine the right tool for the task
- Team player with the ability to interact effectively with people from diverse cultural and educational backgrounds
- Demonstrates a sense of ownership, focusing on and drivingcritical issues to closure
- Flexible; not bothered by interruptions
- Proactive and willing to take on any job that needs to be done
