Cushing Terrell is seeking a Water/Waste Water Civil Engineer in one of our offices in one of the following locations: Austin, Denver, Seattle, Billings, Bozeman, Missoula, Kalispell, or Minneapolis. Civil Engineering at Cushing Terrell represents a crucial piece of the complex building-design puzzle. As a member of this team, you will be collaborating in a group with other civil engineers, architects, mechanical engineers, structural engineers, and electrical engineers. 

A Civil Engineer at Cushing Terrell…

Responsibilities include Water and wastewater system design for Municipal, Federal Government, and private clients.  Auto CAD drafting and construction inspections on a variety of projects. A thorough knowledge of water and wastewater treatment processes and a history of success is a must. Individually you should have Auto CAD, Civil 3D, and/or Plant 3D experience, excellent communication skills, a team attitude, and a self-starting work ethic with minimal supervision required. 

• Can point to past success in developing strong client relationships, including design build contractor relationships
• Experience in water/wastewater, collection, treatment, treatment plants, pump stations, and asset management
• Displays excellent leadership abilities, organizational standards, and time management skills
• Loves teaching fellow engineers through one-on-one mentorship
• Has in depth knowledge of current water and wastewater treatment processes
• AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or Plant 3D
• Can perform construction inspections 
• Can develop project estimates and design within budgetary constraints
• Develops project specifications
• Prepares project proposals and engineering fee estimates
• Takes on construction administration duties, including submittal review, field inspections, RFIs, and change requests, when needed

• Have 10+ years’ experience in the Civil Water/Wastewater Engineering industry
• Have a current PE
• Experience in new business development
• Already have deep connections or a client base 
• The desire to build and grow a team 
• Prioritize work sharing, knowledge transfer, and standards development
• Have excellent oral and written communication skills
