See the firm’s website for examples of its work. www.michaelrexarchitects.com RESPONSILITIES OF JUNIOR ASSOCIATE Junior Associates work with the Principal and Project Architects from pre-design through construction. They are responsible for preparing design and construction documents, preparing 3D models, completing code studies, researching products, developing budgets and schedules, communicating with clients and consultants, and responding to questions from contractors. Each member of the firm’s team contributes their voice to its culture in pursuit of better and more creative solutions. The Junior Associate’s responsibilities will expand based on their initiative and ability. QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS - Advanced education from an NAAB-accredited architecture program.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience working in an architectural firm.
- Strong design skills and the ability to prepare architectural drawings, 3D models and renderings.
- Able to work in an open office environment as well as a remote location. (We are currently working from home due to the Coronavirus.)
- Experience preparing construction documents and details, especially for Type-V construction.
- Experience working on high-end residential, historic, multi-unit housing, and hospitality.
- Proficiency with CAD, and rendering software. ArchiCAD, SketchUp, and Photoshop are preferred.
