Winchester Architects is a full-service architecture firm serving central Texas and beyond. We are a small firm located in an area that is currently seeing a lot of growth in both residential and commercial projects.

We are looking for someone interested in both managerial and design functions. We are seeking candidates for high-end residential new construction, residential remodels/additions and/or small to medium commercial and multifamily projects.

We enjoy a casual, diverse, low-drama but extremely busy work environment. The ideal candidate will be well organized, very detail oriented, able to multi-task, and feel comfortable working on a team and independently.  Strong interpersonal skills are preferred since the position will meet with clients, city officials and contractors.  

We are looking for someone with an interest in working in both managerial and design capacities.

The project manager:

• Must be able to work quickly to establish concept drawings for projects.
• Must be able work with clients efficiently to identify project objectives.
• Must have a thorough knowledge of residential codes and construction – provide contract administration and draft field reports.
• Must be able to quickly identify cost effective solutions for expansions or additions.
• Must have a thorough understanding of commercial codes, construction types, UL assemblies and insulating systems.

The project manager will at a minimum:

• Review and coordinate structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineers
• Perform the final review for construction drawings
• Direct staff in creating accurate as-builts for residential and commercial remodels and additions
• Review mark ups and coordinate staff drawings
