We are looking for team members to build our teams within the Center for Design at Cleveland Clinic. These teams need to be experienced architects and/or design professionals with five to ten years’ experience to work on planning, programming and design efforts of complex healthcare facilities. Full responsibility for management of multiple small and mid-sized projects. Prepares strategic plans and concept designs for project success. Responsible for the coordination of all project efforts, administrative and technical, to assure the most efficient and cost-effective execution of assigned projects. Serves as the primary client liaison to bring the planning and design scope of work to completion. Actively manages program and design intent of the project working closely with the Chief Design Officer. Assist in the development of budgets, schedules and determining scope of work on various sized projects.
Self-motivating, creative and open minded is a must. Travel may be required.
Specific responsibilities will include • Analyze and conceptualize space planning and master planning scenarios that address multiple factors – program, cost and architectural form for the most fitting short and long term solution(s) • Create clear and compelling data visualizations, diagrams and presentations • Manage user and consultant interactions • Integrate innovative design thinking and creative problem solving techniques • Develops preliminary space plans • Supports the team in collecting information for projects; attend meetings
Preferred but not limited to Bachelor of Architecture degree or a Master of Architecture degree
At least 5 years of professional experience
Experience in other professions (finance, health care, tech, graphic design) is a plus
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities • Familiarity with space planning methodology • Excellent presentation, writing, social and communication skills • Exceptional organizational skills and follow through • Ability to work confidently in a group with all levels of staff and also independently • Experience in healthcare design and renovation is preferred • Ability to travel • Working knowledge of CDs and procedures • Working knowledge of building systems, codes and ADA requirements • Working knowledge of FGI Guidelines • REVIT and AutoCAD skills + Enscape is a plus • Adobe Creative Suites (Photoshop, Indesign, etc.) skills as well as MS Office Suite skills • Basic verbal and written communication skills
