The Community Studio Principal will lead a team of people within our Durham, NC office who specialize in the design and construction of community-based projects. You will have the opportunity to mentor and build a team of individuals dedicated to community projects, while collaborating daily with your team and leaders within the office and across the firm. You will have access to a wide-range of resources as you partner on a regular basis with Community and Corporate leaders from across the firm.
Our ideal candidate possesses a keen understanding and experience in pursuing and executing high level design opportunities with public and private sector Higher Education clients across the region. In addition to a primary focus on University and Community College clients, the candidate should demonstrate thought leadership across all educational immersive learning environments, including pre K-12 schools, as well as familiarity with civic (municipalities) and non-profit entities.
Ultimately our goal is the continued enhancement of Little’s reputation, expertise, and design portfolio across our national footprint. By listening to our client’s unique goals and creating a unified vision we will build sustainable relationships with core clients with whom our goals are aligned. Our current portfolio includes extensive experience in a multitude of classroom spaces, medical education & health sciences, sports & recreation, student centers, and student housing. Familiarity with developers, 3P, and the construction community is important to the success of this role.

Requirements for this role:
Proven ability to win work and lead people.
A minimum 10 years of experience in the design profession.
