Our Seattle-Pioneer Square Office is seeking a full-time, motivated, experienced Civil Engineer to join our multi-disciplinary team. This role works closely with a team of designers (landscape architects, architects and civil engineers) on a wide variety of diverse and exciting project types ranging from enhancing mobility for all in the public right-of-way, cleaning our stormwater through green infrastructure, walking our state parks to verify and recommend replacement of aging infrastructure, creating passive and active play area in newly designed parks, and working behind the scenes in developing animal exhibits for zoos.
Civil engineering design work for public and private clients for site design, stormwater management, utilities, green infrastructure, grading and complete streets projects.
Assistance with preparation of plans, technical reports and construction specifications documents.
Preparation of calculations, quantity take-offs and construction cost estimates.
Stormwater modeling and design.
Construction administration support.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, has a high proficiency in Civil 3D; thinks critically and creatively; works as part of a collaborative team in an open environment; and maintains a sense of humor and camaraderie. Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required.
Professional Engineer in the State of Washington. License in other states a plus.
3-6 years of work experience in civil engineering discipline.
Strong technical communication skills.
Familiarity with Department of Ecology Stormwater Management Manual for Western Washington.
Desired computer proficiency includes: AutoCAD/Civil 3D, MicroStation/OpenRoads, stormwater modeling (WWHM, MGSFlood, etc), Word and Excel.
