We are looking for a highly motivated architect, to assist with a large cultural project in Los Angeles, California. This position will involve working directly with Peter Zumthor, and collaborating with his in-house team, as well as the Los Angeles based team of Consultants. To feel good in this position you need to be a talented designer interested in transferring ideas and concepts into a strong physical reality. Living within commuting distance of his Atelier in Haldenstein, Switzerland and frequent trips to LA will be required.
Previous experience in architecture, projects in Los Angeles, and construction phase services are preferred but not required. The project is currently in the early Construction Documents Phase. We are seeking to fill this position as soon as possible and we envision the assignment to last through the Construction Phase which is scheduled to be completed in the Spring of 2023.

About Atelier Peter Zumthor
Peter Zumthor works with his Atelier of approximately thirty people in the alpine setting of Haldenstein, Switzerland producing architectural originals like the Bregenz Art Museum, Thermal Vals, Kolumba Art Museum and the Steilneset Memorial. He is the winner of the 2009 Pritzker Prize and the 2013 Royal Gold Medal.
