Rabun Architects is seeking a full-time Project Architect. The Project Architect is a licensed architect responsible for the development of project design intent, and for the production of complete, accurate, and well-coordinated documents. The Project Architect is responsible for interpreting, organizing, executing and coordinating complex projects and/or multiple projects simultaneously. The Project Architect works with the Principal in Charge and the Project Manager to ensure all applicable codes, brand standards, and client needs are met.
Graduate of an accredited architectural program with Bachelor's level degree or higher.
Minimum of 10 years of professional architectural experience, preferably on hospitality related projects.
Proficiency in Autodesk Revit preferred.
Strong understanding of building systems and documentation.
Strong Construction Documentation (CD) skills.
Strong communication, coordination and organization skills.
Demonstrated ability to lead a team of professionals to meet project objectives.
Competency in all aspects of design and documentation.
Demonstrated skills in office and field construction administration.
Specific responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Serves as the primary client liaison to bring the schedule, budgets, and scope of work to completion and to the client's satisfaction.
Coordinate and supervise Project Team. Direct and coordinate Consultants as needed.
Meet with Client and Contractor(s) to provide interpretation of contract documents.
Actively manage client budgets, schedules and programs; project communications and documentation; office administrative tasks; and project team assignments.
Make informed design and documentation decisions using discretion and good judgement.
Assist in creation and submission of proposals as needed.
Ensure accuracy and completion of project documentation, in compliance with applicable codes and laws.
Understand and manage the implementation of hotel brand standards on each project.
Travel to Project Job Site as required to facilitate design and construction.
Actively participate in professional development and performance management of Staff.
Maintain base state registration and professional affiliations.
Contribute to the overall quality and success of the project team and firm as a whole.
