As a Project Architect you will be responsible for managing all aspects of project design development and coordinating with all project team members to maintain the quality of the work product within the established project schedule for K-12 modernization, rehabilitation or new construction projects and spearheading any necessary DSA submissions and interactions as the Architect of Record.
You will partner directly with the District and the Construction Manager to ensure the quality of project documents, team collaboration and communication. Additionally, you will lead the cross-functional design disciplines in developing technical solutions. All consultants will be hired directly by the District and managed by the Construction Manager as representative of the District. A home office will be considered by the District.
The successful candidate will:
Have a comprehensive understanding of, and the ability to coordinate and lead the design disciplines in developing technical solutions.
Have extensive knowledge of all aspects of professional practice from schematic design through project close-out.
Be able to work and present ideas in a team environment as well as self-manage and self-motivate in a creative environment.
Ability to focus on taking direction and following-through with the scope of work provided.
Possess a high level of technical proficiency in the production of drawings.
Lead the project team in the adherence to all design practice codes and standards.
Supervise the design and technical development of the project.
Be able to work directly with the District and the Construction Manager in the ongoing development of project documents.
Have exceptional communication, problem-solving, and collaborative skills necessary to meet project deadlines.
