Under the general direction of the Director, Design & Construction Management, this position is responsible for coordinating university laboratory space utilizing directives of Design & Construction Management with other Administration and Finance areas, Academic Affairs, and Research and Engagement areas.
Leads all phases of lab planning including programming, planning, feasibility, scope and concept development by defining and developing client relationships.
Conveys the technical aspects of user needs to Design & Construction Management, coordinating and supervising placement/relocation of research equipment and biological/chemical materials, overseeing management of assets for estimating costing, developing laboratory design standards and reviewing laboratory design.
Consults and acts as a resource for all parties to efficiently utilize university space during renovations or new construction and fit out of new space.
