An Architectural Designer II, Commercial Interiors (5 - 8 yrs experience) leads preparation of architectural presentations and production drawings, as well as participates in design studies and evaluation of design proposals under the direction of the Senior Design Manager or Project Manager. Requires minimum five years’ experience on interiors for workplace, multi-family, or hospitality projects.

Work with Senior Design Manager on conceptual designs, presentations and
Conduct programming efforts such as space planning, layout and utilization of furnishings and equipment, lighting and color coordination
Produce graphic presentations, 3D renderings, physical models and presentation drawings as project requires.
Resolve design issues with creative and practical solutions; prepare complete designs from general drawings and instructions.
Work with Senior Design Manager to source/define interior finishes and FF&E specifications.
Assists with project documentation, including coordination of furniture orders
Ability to independently coordinate consultants, fabricators, vendors and regulatory agencies to meet overall project objectives. Report progress to Senior Design Manager.
Perform architectural drafting and modeling as directed by Senior Design Manager or Project Manager in accordance with company standards.
Oversee collection of project data and research including but not limited to program analysis, restroom calculations, and ADA requirements.
Contribute to office activities, initiatives and programs.
SKILLS / REQUIREMENTS:
5-8 years of experience on interior design projects.
Solid understanding of design process, building codes, materials and interior construction techniques.
Knowledge of furniture, fixture and equipment (FF&E), architectural/interior finishes, lighting and color schemes to carryout design intent.
Must be a motivated self-starter with the ability to problem solve both individually and as part of a project team.
Strong organizational skills and ability to work on multiple or fast paced projects.
Strong graphic and visualization skills to communicate design ideas.
Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design or Architecture.
Proficiency in the use of 2D/3D software, including Revit, AutoCAD, Sketchup, Enscape, Photoshop, Rhino and InDesign.
Ability to work cooperatively with others.
