We are currently seeking a Manager of Architecture for our regional headquarters in Ithaca, New York. The Manager of Architecture will work with the Sr. Vice President and the Vice President of Operations for New York to provide leadership for an architectural group of approximately 20 architects and designers in Ithaca, Farmingdale and Albany.  

The Manager of Architecture is expected to provide authoritative design and technical expertise focused primarily on work with K-12 clients and governmental agencies.  The Manager is assisted by a team of seasoned architects that support our depth of expertise in various aspects of our practice and implement our robust QA/QC program.

Responsibilities:

• High level management of architectural staff and design personnel, including team selection and scheduling.
• Perpetuate a highly professional, innovative and engaging work environment.
• Promote department-wide corporate compliance with Tetra Tech processes, procedures, and policies including those related to Design Excellence, Project Management, staff management, security, Quality Assurance and overall professional excellence.
• Monitor project budgets and schedules to ensure the financial success of the firm.
• Coach and mentor Senior Team Leaders and Technical Experts. Assist Senior Team Leaders with the challenges of staff and intern management.
• Maintain up to date department standards, specifications, resource materials, and policies, assisted by Senior Team Leaders.
