The Job Captain holds a Bachelor's Degree in Architecture; is flexible, energetic and is interested in a broad range of professional experiences. The position involves a wide range of activities typical of an architecture firm including, but not limited to: general production, field measurement and verification, composition of spreadsheets, the completion of construction documents, marketing and presentation work, general office etc.
Typically, the Job Captain will be multi-tasking on any given day. This position provides excellent exposure to a broad range of facets within the field of architecture for many public and private projects in the State of Ohio. While providing an intensive and exciting work experience, the position will also supplement the Internship Development Program (IDP).
A typical day is from 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. with occasional longer days as required by particular projects. The Job Captain will work under the guidance of an experienced Registered Architect on a range of activities as described above.
Candidate must meet the following requirements:
A minimum of a professional degree in Architecture.
3-5 years of relevant experience working in Architect's office.
Demonstrate previous project experience and salary history.
The Job Captain provides valuable assistance in the development of design projects and the associated professional activities of the firm.
Value the fresh perspectives and new technical knowledge.
Prior working knowledge of design software which includes experience with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office programs.
A willingness to learn and a positive attitude are important qualities.
