Grimm + Parker Architects, an award winning, nationally recognized architectural design firm and leader in community-based architecture, has an immediate opportunity for experienced Proposal Coordinator.
The Proposal Coordinator is an integral member of the Business Development and Marketing Team and works under the direct supervision of the Director of Marketing.
Assist Director of Marketing with any and all proposal and pursuit activities
Serve as the lead for individual SOQs/proposals/interviews, including:
Provide input to winning strategies
Build a pursuit compliance matrix and schedule
Coordinate and participate in proposal development and shepherd technical staff through the process
Write, edit, compile, and organize information from many sources to generate cohesive proposals (e.g. cover letters, executive summaries, resumes, project descriptions)
Work with technical staff to ensure that win themes, differentiators, and market strategies are integrated throughout the document
Coordinate with reference providers
Complete standardized forms
Conduct regular proposal progress status meetings and maintain the proposal schedule
Prepare, format and produce each proposal
Maintain and develop the proposal resource library
Identify and edit existing materials and/or write copy to effectively communicate Grimm + Parker’s services, capabilities, and discriminators
Research and compile corporate information such as past experience and personnel expertise
Maintain resumes, project descriptions, boilerplate information and templates
Other reasonable and normal duties associated with the Proposal Coordinator position, as directed by the VP of Business Development and Marketing and the Director of Marketing.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
2+ years of marketing and proposal development experience, A/E/C experience an advantage
Highly proficient with Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite, experience with Deltek Vision an advantage
Motivated self -starter who can drive proposal process from pre-RFP planning through delivery.
Analytical, with exceptional attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
High sense of urgency and willingness to take the intitiative
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, strong problem-solving abilities
Ability to organize and prioritize tasks efficiently , including ability to handle multiple, simultaneous deadlines
Willingness to “do what it takes” to get the job done
