JCJ Architecture invites design-oriented, hands-on, Senior Architects (Sr. Technical Architects) who have demonstrated outstanding leadership and technical skills to submit their resumes for a position in our San Diego office. Since its founding in Hartford in 1936, JCJ has expanded its practice to Boston, New York City, Los Angeles, San Diego, Phoenix and Atlanta. In 2005, JCJ - the oldest firm in Hartford, merged with the oldest design firm in San Diego - Wheeler, Wimer, Blackman & Associates. WWB had local roots and significant impact on development in downtown and the surrounding community since 1947. WWB is most well-known for designing the original UCSD Birch Aquarium, Westgate Hotel, SDGE Building, and restoration ad new construction throughout Balboa Park.
JCJ Architecture specializes in the design of K-12 Schools, Higher Education, Civic, Entertainment and Hospitality facilities; having completed more than 5,000 projects locally, nationally and internationally. All of our offices collaborate as one unified practice while benefiting from the specialized experience of our thought leadership.
The Senior Architect that JCJ seeks will have more than 10 years of experience managing institutional projects in the K-12, Higher Education and Civic markets with budgets between $10 million and $100 million. Professional registration is required.
The Senior Architect will be responsible to prepare designs and documents, from schematic through construction phase in accordance with JCJ Architecture and industry standards.
- Revit v. 2014 or above (required)
- AutoCAD v. 2014 or above
- 3D software (3ds Max, Maxwell, SketchUp)
- Adobe Creative Suite (CS); Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign
- MS Office Suite – Excel, Word, MS Project
- Preferred LEED accredited
- Willing to travel
