Founded in 1985, Barnes Gromatzky Kosarek Architects (“BGKA”) is an Austin-based firm that focuses on large-scale civic, academic, and master planning projects. We are seeking an experienced Project Architect/Manager with solid design and technical skills. Must be a team player with excellent interpersonal skills. Preference will be given to candidates with institutional/academic experience managing large projects through all phases of project delivery. Minimum of 3-7 years’ experience
Strong design and technical skills
Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, MS Office
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Positive attitude and preference for teamwork
Knowledge of architectural practice, including design, documentation, detailing, building materials, building codes and construction technologies
Demonstrated experience producing design and construction documents and specifications, including detailing of publicly bid documents
Successful track record delivering projects on time and on budget
SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, VR tools
Project management experience leading project teams and working with clients on large complex projects
Sustainable design experience and LEED accreditation
Willingness to attend/present at conferences and events to represent the firm
