StudioMa Architecture, Inc. is a boutique design firm specializing in Modern, MidCentury Modern, and Danish-Design-Inspired Architecture. We currently have commercial, mixed-use, and high-end custom residential projects. Our studio space was featured in Dwell Editor's Picks earlier this year.
We are seeking an Architect and/or an Intern Architect on path towards licensure who is bright, ambitious, and passionate about modern design to join our team. As a Project Architect/Architectural Designer at our firm, the candidate will engage in all aspects of each project including conceptualizing charrettes, working alongside the Principal Architect inventing details, and engaging in aspects of coordinating design during construction administration.
3–5 years of Construction Document experience on residential and light commercial projects.
Ability to manage a project from beginning to end.
High Proficiency in design, rendering, 3D modeling, and graphics.
Proficiency in Revit, Photoshop, and SketchUp required.
Proficiency in Rhino, PowerCAD, and Lumion preferred, but not required.
Ability to build physical models.
Ability to sketch by hand.
Proficiency in Illustrator, and InDesign graphic software preferred.
Ability to effectively meet deadlines.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to work in team environment.
Ability and willingness to cooperate in social media marketing.
Strong design and presentation skills.
Technical production skills are necessary and require a demonstrated ability to effectively produce design and construction documents.
Preparation of drawings on Revit and PowerCAD software.
Perform layout and detail work.
Preparation and modification architectural documents, elevations, sections, details, etc. as directed by others utilizing CAD/BIM.
Development of solutions to technical and design problems following established standards.
Incorporation of Integrated Sustainable Design solutions into projects.
Preparation 2D and 3D presentation/design drawings.
Building physical models
Preparation of project boards for client/project team review.
Fosters a commitment to external and internal client service.
Performs miscellaneous clerical / office tasks.
