Responsibilities and Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of experience in a commercial architecture firm with emphasis on construction documents production.
Bachelor’s or Associates Degree in Architecture or related discipline
Functional knowledge of building systems (structural, mechanical, electrical) for coordination.
CAD management and BIM management experience.
Advanced knowledge of both AutoCAD and Revit (2014 or newer).
Capable of producing original work to generate construction details for type I and type II buildings including building envelope, metal stud framing, masonry systems, roofing and waterproofing.
Understanding of CSI specifications.
Understanding of the construction administration process.
Research concepts and materials to support design team on technical issues influencing concept development
Work within timely schedules to coordinate the completion of tasks through to final project completion
Conduct on-site observations and provide recommendations to help streamline ongoing projects
Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office Suite required
Additional software used in the position may include Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, SketchUp and MS Project
Process mapping knowledge to document and develop processes
Able to develop and present design concepts
CAFM experience, LEED accreditation a plus, but not required
Experience includes having been a member of drawing production team(s) for large commercial projects, eg. 4 to 6 person team.
