Little nationally recognized as a “Best Firm to Work For” and one of the nation’s most progressive design firms, is seeking a Construction Administrator/Project Architect with a passion for design and a positive, collaborative work style, for our DC (Arlington, VA) Office.
Ability to manage and lead construction administration tasks on medium to large scale multi-phased projects;
Execute Code Reviews, develop code summary and life safety documentation, and coordinate permit submissions;
Assist design staff with the production of design development and construction documents for a wide variety of project types;
Perform site inspections, reviews shop drawings and material submittals and other related construction administration tasks; and
Mentor/coach less experienced staff;
Candidates must possess the following qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Architecture from an accredited university;
Architectural registration preferred;
10+ years’ experience;
Strong technical expertise, including knowledge of building codes;
Strong understanding of various project delivery methods including design/bid, negotiated contracts, integrated project delivery, design/build and cm at risk;
Strong Understanding of industry standards;
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit Required;
Excellent communication (verbal and written), organizational, and client relationship skills;
Motivated self-starter who works well in a collaborative team environment; and
Ability to communicate comfortably and confidently with team members and clients.
