The office, currently located in Arlington, Virginia, will be relocating into the NoMa neighborhood of Washington, DC in September. Our new home will be within the historic Uline Arena building, immediately adjacent to the NoMa Metro Station. We had the pleasure of designing and building the renovation of the Uline Arena, which opened in 2017. Our new office space will provide additional space for the firm to grow into the future, and provide modern and exciting amenities for all of our employees.
ABOUT THE JOB
Our Washington, DC office is currently seeking a Project Architect with 5+ years of relevant experience in production and technical detailing to join our exciting diverse team and immediately contribute their skills while working on a range of mixed use, residential, and commercial projects. This individual will be able to see a project through all phases of the work from schematic design to construction administration.
-Master’s Degree in Architecture or 5 Year BA in Architecture Degree.
-5+ years of relevant experience working on mixed use or commercial projects is preferred.
-Applicant must be proficient in Revit and AutoCAD.
-Actively pursuing or having current standing as a licensed architect is a plus.
The successful candidate will assist the team by completing the following tasks:
-Work with fellow team members in preparing schematic and design development documents
-Work with assigned team members to create construction documents in Revit 2018 and/or AutoCad 2016
-Coordinate with consultants, owner's representatives, contractors and Architectural team members.
-Perform Construction Administration tasks including, but not limited to, shop drawing reviews, field observation and reports, LOD preparation, meeting minutes etc.
-Perform Zoning and Building code research
-Prepare municipal permit applications
