Interior Designer Virginia Tech – Facilities Department
Reporting to the Associate Director of Architectural Planning, the Interior Designer will provide comprehensive interior design review and support for capital and non-capital projects, working with university departments, faculty, staff, and project stakeholders. The position will also: - Review and support interior wayfinding for projects. - Develop and maintain university standards and guidelines for interior furniture, finishes, and wayfinding, and maintain materials library.

- Degree in Interior Design, Architecture or related field from an accredited institution, or equivalent training and/or relevant experience. - National Council for Interior Design Qualification (NCIDQ) certification as an interior designer in the Commonwealth of Virginia or ability to obtain within 12 months of employment. - Considerable knowledge of, and experience in, interior design, furniture specification, and environmental graphics. - Experience with computer-aided design. - Ability to work with minimal supervision to accomplish assigned goals. - Strong organizational, specification, and record keeping skills. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Valid driver’s license.
