Supervise project Architects I, II, III, and project team activities including, but not limited to, project schedules, staffing/utilization, work flow, and general personnel assignments.
Serve as client contact, and manage client.
Encourage organized regular project team meetings and mentor project delivery best practices.
Facilitate design coordination between design and project delivery staff.
Provide QA/QC for projects, documents, and specifications.
Meet no less than once monthly with Principal and/or accounting personnel to review project performance, schedule, and client management and make necessary adjustments.
Manage projects. (See responsibilities of Architect I, II, III positions)
Coordinate market development opportunities with Principals.
Make staffing decisions regarding team
Interview, provide hiring recommendations and facilitate training of new architecture staff.
Appraise architecture team members’ productivity and efficiency.
Manage team members’ ideas, complaints and grievances.
Provide assistance in market development including, but not limited to, attending and presenting at interviews.
Knowledge of or use of CADD, BIM, 3D modeling and other production software as chosen by the office to document designs.
Competent use of Microsoft Project, Excel and other accounting and scheduling software as chosen by the office to manage projects and staff.
Mentor Architects I, II, and III on project client communication, project delivery and CA best practices.
Bachelor of Architecture (or equivalent), and/or Masters
Registered Professional Architect, generally 15+ years
