The person in this role will be leading and directing the firm's Commercial practice, including Corporate, Mix-Use and hybrids that include housing. A leader should exhibit:

Team building and management skills, including the ability to mentor.
Client development and management abilities, and the ability to close.
The ability to develop business, set strategy, tactics and target work.
The ideal person in this role runs the practice, sets the course, challenges themselves and the staff, and finds a way to have fun doing it. They get the most from the staff by involving them in the decisions that affect them and giving them a voice. You win work by understanding the demands on clients and finding ways to help them achieve their goals.

Degree in Architecture. Registered Architect. OAA registration strongly preferred.
Minimum 15 years of experience in working commercial and industrial buildings.
Experienced in, and comfortable with, leading all aspects of the project development cycle from briefing and preparing fee proposals to substantial performance.
Proven business development record and ability to help position for future commercial and industrial projects/clients
Ability to lead multi-disciplined teams, with minimal supervision
Capability in design, technical and construction detailing
Strong understanding of zoning bylaws and the Ontario Building Code
Excellent written and verbal communication
Employer will assist with relocation costs.
Additional Salary Information: Six digits, negotiable
