Larkspur Enterprises, LLC is currently assisting their Denver, Colorado client who presents a portfolio of architecture, interior design, Green building design, engineering, and planning projects, in their search to find a Job Captain/Project Manager.
The primary responsibilities of the Job Captain/Project Manager include the production and management of Construction Documents with emphasis on overseeing the work of more junior professionals on the team, as well. Activities will include drawing/drafting; schematic conceptual design; creating/assembling construction drawings; interacting with construction engineers; development of presentation materials; rendering; computer modeling; sketch-up and photo-shop; and direct job-site activity. The ideal candidate will use various skills and talents to assist the team in bringing a project from concept, through design, to completion. The incumbent will be expected to perform a variety of architecture tasks, and work with the production team toward timely completion of deliverables. Operating as a “player/coach”, will serve as both an individual contributor and in an oversight capacity for the work of more junior staff members. Travel will be no more than 2-3 days per month for site visits on the project(s) he/she might be handling.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelors’ degree in Architecture from an accredited university is required; Masters and/or license preferred but not required
Minimum of 6-10 years of experience in architectural design, production and technical experience involving all phases of project design, documentation, and construction administration
Proficiency in REVIT, AutoCAD, & Microsoft office is required; proficiency in rendering software is a plus
Preferred type of architectural experience in multi-family housing; senior-living; historic renovation; and wood frame construction; or the equivalent
Hands-on construction experience a plus; familiarity with building codes, specifications, detailing, and consultant coordination is a plus
