Ecocor High Performance Buildings is looking for a drafting technician to create working drawings for our panelizing process.
Based in Searsmont, Maine (near Belfast), Ecocor High Performance Buildings(ecocor.us) is a builder of prefabricated, superinsulated, airtight homes--built to the International Passivhaus standard for energy efficiency, the most rigorous building energy standard in the world.
The successful candidate will have a thorough understanding of residential construction, energy efficient construction practices, AutoCAD Architecture 2011, Sketchup and Sketchup Layout, Revit or equivalent.
There will be a strong preference given for experience with CADWORK.
Necessary skills for this position include an ability to take direction verbally, strong organizational skills, creative and critical thinking skills, a willingness to work closely with a core group of artisans, an ability to work effectively in a somewhat noisy environment, and a cheerful, can-do attitude.
Other skills that would be useful include carpentry, architectural design, technical writing, copy writing, Photoshop/Illustrator/InDesign, hand drawing, photography and surveying.
