Yestadt Architecture & Design is currently seeking an Intermediate Architect with a minimum of 4 years of professional working experience to join our team in Larchmont, NY. The position requires a candidate with excellent design skills and experience working on a range of project types. Applicants should have a degree in architecture from an accredited college, experience in schematic design through the construction documentation phase, consultant coordination and proficiency in AutoCAD and Sketchup.
YAD has over 27 years of experience in residential design and remodeling providing architectural design solutions for new construction as well as renovations of existing buildings. Our projects include residential, commercial, corporate, country clubs and multi-family residential structures.
Your ability to work well with others to accomplish a common goal is vital, as is your ability to work quickly and efficiently. Priority will be given to applicants with an advanced understanding of AutoCAD, those who exhibit exceptional rendering, presentation skills and an advanced knowledge of architectural detailing.
In-depth knowledge of the structure and required content of drawing sets on medium scale projects from the design stage through the construction process.
Conceptual design, design development and construction documentation of all projects including renderings, material research, code requirement research and site/field visits.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Sketchup and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign) is required.
Ability to produce and develop coordinated drawings within a team environment.
Experience communicating with consultants and coordinating drawing packages.
Experience developing schematic level designs for new project presentations.
Familiarity with New York State and Local Building and Zoning Codes.
Excellent client management, communication and leadership skills.
Self-motivated, organized and an independent thinker.
Candidate must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture from an accredited college.
A minimum of 4 years’ of professional work experience.
