Position Summary The Senior Project Manager manages the staff, projects, and tasks of the Facilities and Landside Design and Construction team, ensuring that the goals and objectives of all projects are met. Responsibilities include supervising and monitoring performance of technical and support staff, assisting in the planning and management of the facilities and properties programs at Detroit Metro and Willow Run Airports. Performs detailed project management duties related to assigned projects from inception to final completion of construction. Ensures that each project meets the scope, budget, schedule, Airport Authority policies and procedures and the requirements of the end user. As part of the project management process, the Sr. Project Manager will need to understand the program project funding management process.
Compensation & Benefits: Salary: Commensurate with experience, plus paid vacation, holiday & sick time, tuition reimbursement, health care, defined contribution retirement plan & performance bonus.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree with major course work in Architecture, Engineering or Construction Management, and a minimum of eight (8) years of increasing responsible professional experience in the management of architectural or engineering consultants and construction contractors, and a valid Driver’s License with a safe, acceptable driving record. Preferred qualifications: State of Michigan Professional Engineer (PE) or Registered Architect (RA).
