Columbia University is seeking an experienced Director, Compliance, to join its Operations Team. Responsibilities include the development of a multicampus program to install and maintain automated external defibrillators including policy development and reporting. He/she will develop training, procure vendor services, supervise contractors, and manage the occupational safety and environmental compliance programs to meet applicable regulations for the Facilities Operations Department. He/she will serve as an expert technical resource on occupational safety and environmental compliance programs, advise management regarding the impact on its operation, oversee the compliance programs for the Morningside and Manhattanville campuses, and manage teams at both locations.
Bachelor’s degree required in a technical field, preferably engineering, chemistry, or occupational safety management. Advanced degree desirable. A minimum of 7–9 years’ related experience required in environmental, health, and safety.
