SUMMARY: The Interior Designer 4 is expected to have the ability to develop functional requirements and project-design criteria for a wide variety of building design complexities. This position requires the substantial knowledge of design and planning principles building and planning code requirements, specification preparation and organization, construction costs and methods, and contract preparation and negotiation.
· Develop detailed design concepts.
· Produce contract documents.
· Interpret ordinances.
· Work closely with clients on projects of any size.
The Interior Designer 4 will be responsible to lead a team of various people in all phases of project development.
A graduate of an accredited Bachelor of Interior Design or Architecture degree program.
6-8 years of experience in an architectural firm.
Professional certification or license preferred.
LEED AP beneficial.
Technical experience in development and detailing of higher education facilities and Occupancy Groups A, B, E and M.
Technical understanding of building systems in Type I, Type II and Type III construction
Bilingual highly desired.
Experience in Revit, SketchUp, Adobe, and Microsoft Office.
Experience with 3D Studio Max desired.
Excellent organizational, time management and interpersonal skills are required.
Must have excellent writing and communication skills.
